Difference in ET between helical vs straight-cut gear set?

Same question.... regarding aluminum drum vs let's say a lightened steel drum?

In a heavier car...say 3600 lbs or so...would the aluminum unit become more
of a "maintenance item"...and have to be replaced from time to time...(depending
on the amount of runs?)

Can you footbrake a 7" PG converter? Yeah, I know that's a stupid question...LOL!!!!
