Camaro in Pure Stock

How do you classify cars for Pure Stock?? Do you use the NHRA class guide ?? If so that would put a 68 Camaro 327/275hp into c/ps @ 10.77 per the class guide correct???Or is it hp divided by actual weight of the car??? Just trying to get my ducks in a row before we start construction. Thank you and look forward to seeing you guys next year in D9.

Only IHRA has Pure Stock Classes.

Get the IHRA Rule Book for more information.

Then check with Mike Baker on the HP rating for Pure Stock.
Some have different ratings than Stock.

Add weight and you would be in D/PS.
There should be a bunch of old useable Stock Cams available for the 327/275.

The Cam Rules after 1974 up to when they dropped the Duration Rule are identical to IHRA Pure Stock Cam.

I am reading my 1974 Rule Book now..

Wow I am getting old !!
