That was excellent! Thanks, I think many here could relate to our own somewhat similar adventures.

Mine were of a "stockcar race" we held at a neighbours' who just got a paved circular driveway.(the ONLY one for 10 miles as I grew up in the country)
Why stockcar? Cause I was a stupid kid who didn't learn until I was 19 or so that stockcars take 6 1/2 days of work and 1/2 day to destroy them..even when it's not your fault they still get destroyed...but I'm not bitter anymore....ok, yes I am...

I still have the old A/Econo Pedal, although now I am much heavieer I might compete better in B/Econo Pedal LOL

Bobby, I love it...and we did it too! Only it was the mid 60s just outside Washington DC. We had a freshly paved street in the back of the neighborhood marked off at about 400 feet. We did not have classes, but did have differing styles of entries LOL. Some even had wheelie bars and drag chutes (see mine @ www.mahaffeymotorsports.com). Although we were 20 years earlier I was 13 as well.

Man you were lucky none of my neighbors knew anything,about classes. My bicycle was always a 67 ss/rs camaro ran H/G 292 crower injection 40 lbs. flywheel,like my Dad's. It's took some lungs to pedal them bikes while making 10,000 rpm small block sounds going through gears.
Sometimes I ran out of air winding up that flywheel for the launch when that happened I decided I had broke,usaully a driveline part just like a real modified car.
I dreamed my whole childhood of having modified corvette (63-67) still want one.
