Wrapping a super stocker
Is it legal to completely wrap a NHRA super stocker? I don't have a 2012 rule book, but the 2009 says that the extent of customizing is limited to paint only. I want to wrap the entire car and want to clarify this first. Thanks in advance.

Re: Wrapping a super stocker
Don't think you can do the windows. Chris (Drooze) checked when we did our car, and although I wish I could ask him about it, it seemed to me it was the same as SS and we were told just because it doesnt say you can't, doesnt mean you can. Body is not glass.
But it ws a couple of years ago, so who knows if I remember accurately or not. Call your local Divisional Tech and see what they can tell you. David The New Hemi Guy |

I didn't want to do the glass anyway, just the body.

Re: Wrapping a super stocker
David Rampy's car is wrapped red with the Ray Skillman logo, and last year was a wrap with the Racers Edge sponsorship.

Hillarey the 2012 book still says the same thing. Maybe its one of those grey areas.

I think Mark Faul's car is wraped too.

Russ Campbell's Missouri Mule SS/AH Cuda and Jim Pancake's Dart are both wrapped. I don;t see why it would be a problem

A buddy in Indiana had his bracket Duster wraped in a AirForce style wrap
(he is a officer in the AirForce) and it ran him about $2400. |
Re: Wrapping a super stocker
Philip, you could start your own race car wrapping company and call it....ready for this....Saran Wrap. :)
