3310-2 Vacuum Secondary Connecting Rod
 
I was looking over my 3310-2 and noticed that it was missing the vacuum secondary connecting rod. This is the linkage rod that connects the throttle lever to the secondaries. I can't explain why this would be missing, but what is its purpose and is it really needed?

yes it returns the secondaries to the closed position.

Do you mean the lingage that closes the secondaries when you close the primaries so they cannot stay open?

I was assuming the secondary spring pressure and lack of vacuum would take care of closing the secondaries. Thanks for the replies
