How to cushion/protect healing broken left arm?

Anyone have experience with trying to minimize the impact on launch and landing with a under the weather wing? Trying not to make it worse..Upper left arm spiral into shoulder area...

Padding? football pads?

Car: my dragpak auto footbraked/twostepped with PPP shifter. Decent wheelies with Sanstruff all around, so soft landings...

Thanks, especially for not posting those witty don't crash like you did with your 1970 challenger!
