Shifter and Stop-- share CO2 bottle??

I am getting ready to add an inline C02 throttle stop to my car. I currently have an air shifter on the car.

Is it ok to use the same CO2 bottle for the throttle stop? Has anyone tried this?

thanks
kevin

Not really, just make sure you don't have any leaks. I do have a solenoid that shuts the bottle off when the ign is off....

I switched to the larger 2 1/2 lb bottle a couple years ago and shift and stop with it and I can run at least 3 events with no fill and more. I'd think about that.

That seems like your using a lot of air (co2). I have the 10 oz bottle and it will last 5 or 6 races, but I'm not on the stop very long..

HR3964, I would keep an extra bottle in your trailer. There is a guy that fills the bottles at all the NHRA Div 3 races so I never worry about it. But I have an extra bottle.

I use a 4 way stop goes in two cylinders and off two . Like I said 3 races and still good pressure but I used 3 times what most use.
