Similarities in Water Pumps

In my quest for researching a new water pump for my stocker, I noticed from photos that the Meziere and Proform pumps are identical at least in outward apperance. Does anyone know whether these are are, indeed, the same pump?

Thanks.

It's just my observation but Meziere is a family-owned small business based in Southern California that produces and stands behind a high quality line of parts. Proform is an importer of knock-off copies of a wide range of tools as well as a few hard parts like water pumps that sell through the mail order catalogs at a reduced price. They are purposely designed to resemble quality parts to fool unsuspecting buyers. I was fooled a few times when they hit the market with their line of tools but that won't be happening again.

Listen to Chuck. They are simply Chinese knock offs of name brand parts.

If SBC or BBC. What about the Dedenbear pump. They only weigh about 3.5 or so pounds. They are pricey. Something else to think about. Definately, stay away from the ProComp stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I have picked up some positive feedback from input on Class Racer about Meziere, but I wanted to hear if others had used the Proform piece and had great or any sucess. I also wondered if the Meziere company might speak up and set the record straight. I believe they re racers too.

You know how you hear that there are 25 brands of TV's but only three companies that make them? Well I was wondering...
I. would prefer made in America over a off shore piece.

The Proform pumps are cast, not billet like the Meziere. Meziere is a top notch company that stands behind their product. I've run the same pump on my car for well over 15 years.
