AFCO A_Frame Bushings

I am looking into buying a set of AFCO all steel A-frame bushings and noticed the Jegs catalog has a part number for a light weight version for the lowers. Can anyone tell me how much lighter the" light weight" versions are over the standard? Is it worth the extra cost? The car is a 1968 Chevelle stocker with an all steel big block. Any explanation on how weight reduction was achieved?

I believe you will find a plastic style bushing (similar to del-a-lum) in those as compared to their "standard" solid steel type. They would be considerably lighter, of course, but not as light as delalum. Ron.

Jim, I have a set for my camaro that have not been installed, yet. I received the standard ones by mistake, so I can tell you that they are almost half the weight. I was shocked how heavy the standard ones were.
I got them off ebay from a seller for $139 for the whole kit. They are not Afco, but they are identical, as I believe the dirt track cars use them, also.
I havent installed as I may go with Global West's kit.
