STRANGE BRAKES?? dragging

My STRANGE BRAKES are dragging.(all 4)
What is the fix for this?
I have the large boar Strange Master Cylinder. a Willwood Prop. Valve.
I have checked the rod & peddle it has free play, I don't think it's the problem.??

I have read something about new O-RINGS??

Could someone please elaborate.

Thanks for your help!

Re: STRANGE BRAKES?? dragging

I had this problem with my Strange rear brakes.. the pads wore down to a point where the pistons would not return, causing them to drag.. the pads didn't look that bad, but I guess they were worn down just enough.. but looking under the car, you could see the pistons exposed way out of the caliper.. I have changed the O rings periodically, but changing the pads did the trick for me on this occassion..

Also, if you have recently changed the pads, make sure you have clearance to the rotor to begin with.. some are thicker than others..

Here is another thread about this...

I found the springs to be a solution.

Re: STRANGE BRAKES?? dragging

One more thing to check ! Make sure your rotor is centered in the caliper. If it is off center you might have a pad draging one side.
Check this with all pcs. bolted up...[ with out the pads in place]. Mine came with a shim pack [thin washers] to space the caliper housing in or out.

PUT LUG NUTS ON THE ROTOR HAT , TO MAKE SURE THATS SNUG IN PLACE ALSO. Hope this is some help !!!!
