anyone have a pic of high back seats in a 2ed gen camaro that have been modded to take the shoulder belts thru the seat? here is a pic of the way mine are now.dont want to change from a stock seat...thankshttp://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...e/SDC10938.jpg

Denny,
Here are a couple pictures of my belt routing through the seat back.
I had a local upholstery shop sew in sleeves of a heavy vinyl material to protect the belt from rubbing against any of the internal seat frame parts. Also, I took and put some edge trim from McMaster Carr around the oval shapes that were cut into the steel seat frame for an added layer of protection of the belts.

Wow Denny,

Would love to have whoever redid your seats do mine. They did a beautiful job. Hard to find an upholstery shop that fits the covers that good without puckering in spots.

You can put in a v-belt (not Y belt), then you can cut a slit in the centre of the seat, and you would only need one mounting tab. Very nice roll cage btw. gsa612

thanks,the car has a v-belt type harness so ill get it slotted and use a sparco belt guide to clean it up...would love to put a legal low-po 396 or 454 in it,but i dont know if it would be ss/gt legal or not. ill research the rules.its a steel 76,steel mini-tubbed,leafspring ladder bar car.full stock int and glass.im sure if i took off glass hood car would be legal,but idont know about the cage.here are few pics.sorry they are big...http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...e/SDC10937.jpghttp://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...e/SDC10936.jpg

Ok,the upholstery wont do my seats b/c the covers are 35 years old and he said they may come apart when he takes them off..I cant find new ones any place...SO .anyone with info or pics of how its done i could use some input..lol..thanks,Denny
