chev superstock heads

What are the top not notch flow figures for a 041 superstock chev cylinder head?

No offense, but we don't race flow benches. Those numbers are only part of the story, and can be misleading. Different flow benches (and sometimes operators) often give up different numbers.

A flow bench is like a dyno, it is merely a tool to measure whether you've gotten better or worse. You must measure progress with the same tool or the measurement is invalid.

Flow numbers themselves are not "absolute" in any event, I've seen head with great flow numbers that did not run well.

I would not shop for heads or shops based on flow numbers.

No opinions, just facts.

80% of all the SS guys I know run heads from the same three guys. No secret who can provide you with the best set of heads. Hettler, Keown and Layer.

Hettler and Layer both do a great job for sure. I think Keown uses Layer heads, but I could be wrong. I know CFE has done some also.
There are other folks that do those types of heads as well ...................

Been using Layer's heads for many years. Tried the "other" guys X heads that flowed better and dropped 2 tenths. Numbers aren't as important as some people think. From a consistancy standpoint, as happy as can be with Layer's heads! Always seems to find "a little extra". But I can't complain. We've gotten about everything we can get out of our boxy, black sled.
