Q JET Return Line?

I see some people ( with a Q -Jet) have a return line running from after the regulator in the font of the car going back to the fuel cell.
Is this any benefit OR is it just another "TRICK OF THE WEEK"?

Re: Q JET Return Line?

Depending on the type of fuel pump used it is required, on my car my regulator isnt a bypass style so my bypass comes straight off the fuel pump.

need to look at the whole system, but it is probably a "fuel bleed" to keep a constant flow across the deadhead, mainly to prevent fuel pressure creep -- but there are a couple other tricks that'll work also........

We deadhead ours and don't have any issues. However, I was told by a guy at Aeromotive the right way to plumb your fuel system is to have a return line. I'm sure you will get pro and con with each application

I was told that was the correct way to do it...we just built our super stock Gt combo at the beginning of the season and we didn't know this until a few races in the year...we just spent money on a brand new fuel system not even a year old...I would like to know if there is anyone who has tried both and if it is any better with a return

I am not a fuel system expert but, all you need to do is use a fuel pressure regulator that has a port that you can run a return line to and plumb the fuel tank for the line.
