Installing a Throttle Stop
OK guys I just got a Biondo throttle.
My problem is I have a GM type cable, can I still Make this thing work? I keep looking at it, scratching my head and say OK. Any Pics might help. I really want to try this Hot Rod Racing this year. Calvin Starcher 177X HR |
Re: Installing a Throttle Stop
sorry, can't help you.....only have experience with baseplate stops.
have you tried calling biondo? they are great with customer service..... |
Re: Installing a Throttle Stop
Provided you have room call Biondo's to exchange for a baseplate style, you'll be happier with the results. And as LL said, they are great guys to deal with.

Re: Installing a Throttle Stop
They also have two different styles of connector for their inline stops. I know this because I chose the wrong one, and within an hour of my placing the order on-line, someone called me to say "are you sure"? And of course I was wrong. What amazing customer service.
Give 'em a call, you'll certainly get the help you need. |
Re: Installing a Throttle Stop
YOU WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE AN INLINE STOP WORK WITH YOUR STOCK CABLE.WHAT I DID ON MY CAR WAS BUY A FIREWALL MOUNT CIRCLE TRACK PEDAL IT WAS INEXPENSIVE (40or SO DOLLARS) IT HAS A TOE RETURN HOOK MADE ON TO IT ALREADY WHICH IS MANDATORY BY RULES AND MADE A THROTTLE ROD OUT OF 1/4" ROD WHICH WILL THREAD INTO YOUR INLINE STOP.JUST BE SURE TO TO MAKE A POSITIVE PEDAL STOP OUT OF A BOLT THATS ADJUSTABLE

Re: Installing a Throttle Stop
It will work just fine. Mine has been on the car 15 years.
Buy a CSR throtllle stop cable bracket to mount the exterior cable and the interior cable just fits inside the back of the stop with a lock nut. |
Thanks Guys
Thanks guys.
I'll look into the CSR cable bracket, and possible a under carb plate. Only got 5 weeks or so till MIRs Pro Am race. I'd like to be ready for it. Calvin 177X H/R |
