Early Chevy Stockers?
I've been away from the sport (and this site) for a good part of the year. Where in 2011 would one race a pre-1960 Chevy stocker? Did I miss a rules change?

How about a 1950 or '52 Olds? Are there ONLY selected cars allowed. Are you talking about the boys from Glendora? WOW!

Re: Early Chevy Stockers?
are you saying that the tri-5's can be raced in STOCK and not super stock.
i was raised with real stock class tri-5's. small heads, stock cams and carbs, iron intakes and 7" tires running 14.10's is it really possible that NHRA would go back to slow non showy cars? more info please. rod in AZ |
Re: Early Chevy Stockers?
Pre 1960 cars have been allowed back into Stock Eliminator for 2011. If it is in the Stock Car Classification Guide, you can run it in Stock, unless of course it is one of the Super Stock only combinations, such as the 'Cuda and Dart factory race cars.

Re: Early Chevy Stockers?
if there was a class record of 12.80 or a min record of 13.45, would you need all the safety stuff, like an 8 point roll bar?
this is interesting to me rod in AZ |
