Who sells a "slow" trans brake? Super stock/comp

I was wondering who sells a slow transbrake valve body? I know comp and superstock racers have to use more than a slow button.. I have the terminator and I can get to about -.030 red and no slower.. I can put a lil taller front tire on (which I am gonna do) but I would really like to get slower than that and be able to have some adjustment..

I do not know of anyone who sells one but you can alter the system to slow it down.
One suggestion I would have to slow it down would be to increase the fluid volume in the reverse circuit or by reducing the port size of the dump port in the brake either or both with slow the release time.
Added volume in the reverse circuit will also make it slower to apply and possibly could creep forward before engaging if the brakes are not held long enough.
I have built a lot of transmissions and this is the first time I have ever had someone ask to slow one down.
Just My 2 Cents

Two questions:
A. what type of Tranny? Case?

B. what type of solenoid?

Here are some thoughts.

1) Larger Front tire, you said you were going to try them.
2) Lower front tire pressure in larger tires, if needed.
3) Lower starting line RPM.
4) Lower rear tire pressure, to slow the reaction.
5) Increase front end travel.
6) Block top two bulbs.

Just some ideas. I have used several of them on my cars. But, I have the problem the other way....Oh well..

You cant find a slower PG brake than the old style ATI internal solenoid valvebody.
consistant and reliable,and SLOW.

Good luck....

Carl Rossler can help you with this. I posed the same question to him a few months ago. He said he could easily fix this issue. I told him everything from below

I had been running one of Carl's bracket T-400's (2.48 1st) and tried everything Robert Simpson recommended and couldn't stop going red by .020 to .030. I block the top 2 bulbs, have the longest Biondo term switch available, flattened the front tires, 5.5 inches of front end travel and single digit rear tire pressures in a 3500 plus Lb 69 Camaro. My no box nats sucked as I gave away every race and buyback due to a red light.

depend on what trans you have. ATI has what they call "soft hit" trans brake and it works great..I had one in a glide years ago, sold it to a friend and still works great...Luke SS 311
