MSD rotor coming loose?
I have had problems lately with my distributor rotor coming loose. Also the adapter that the rotor attaches to. MSD Billet dist. in a BBC. Before I use loctite, which I don't believe should be necessary, has anyone expierenced this? I dont' know if a vibration/harmonics would cause this. Any ideas? Thanks,

Re: MSD rotor coming loose?
Do the screws have conical washers on them? My old rotor had flat washers, new one came with funky looking conical washers which I believe is to eliminate loosening. Joe

Re: MSD rotor coming loose?
Just because of this thread , I deceided to look at my rotor this weekend . ...Guess what, the rotor screws with the conical washers were tight, BUT the screw that holds the rotor adapter to the shaft was coming loose ,and it had been loctited [blue].....Got a dose of "red" this time. ..............Tom

Re: MSD rotor coming loose?
I have had this same problem on both of my distributors and solved it with blue loctite and have not had a problem in 4 years now.
