Mopar stocker question
I would like to build my 71' Duster into a D/S stock eliminator car, and I have a few questions, if anyone can help. ( I may be dreaming, but who knows...we'll see )
Who has a good clutch set-up that wont break the bank and doesnt require you to go into the can every pass ? ( as in low maintenance ) I am sure I will have more questions. Thanks so much, J.C. (434) 665-9541 |
Re: Mopar stocker question
The best clutch guy out there is Rob Youngblood at Advanced 208-880-6214. He can get you set up.

Re: Mopar stocker question
If you want to race a D/S car, it will "break the bank"; bank being a relative term as I do not know what you have to spend on this project. But no matter your resources, it won't be cheap. And if you want a clutch that will break the bank in terms of added ET, lost MPH, more time under or in the can, more broken parts from the can on back and more frustration as you are continually beat, then by all means, go for the cheaper products. Using the suggestion of Rod Greene will yield the opposite of the woes I just outlined. Pricing of the single 10" Sportsman clutch assembly is competitive to the 10 1/2" Soft-Lock assembly by McLeod. And Rob offers almost total access for tuning while with McLeod and most others, you are entirely on your own.
It's the inferior products that keep you under the can all day. Been there, done that! |
