Re: Rotating Slicks
I run M/T radials, never rotate them, and they are ridiculously consistent. Never any issues with wear pattern (never seen them with any kind of pattern at all, really) M/T radials are directional.

Rotating Slicks
I have a pair of Hoosier Radials 9 x 30 x 15.
Are you supposed to rotate these & if so after how many runs. Thx for any help. |
Re: Rotating Slicks
I like to keep them rotated every couple of races to keep the fuzz down. Has helped with wear and consistancy on my M/T radials.

Re: Rotating Slicks
Tire manufactor told me a long time ago it all depends on which way you turn to get off the track. If you race the same place every week and always turn in the same direction then you need to rotate. If you run different tracks every week you probably don't. I rotate mine every few weeks.

Re: Rotating Slicks
I run the lightweight Hoosier radials and swap them side-to-side after every weekend.
I inspect and adjust the rear brakes as needed at the same time. I gotta sit down and count the runs one day. But I'm very happy with the tread life and performance. |
Re: Rotating Slicks
If you didn't win so many rounds Myron, you wouldn't have to expend all that effort to rotate tires. I usually lose first or second round, so I can go for months without a tire rotation.
