Fuel System - NPT Thread Sealant

What's the best product to use for sealing NPT threads in a fuel system? I've used both teflon tape and ARP thread sealant with good and bad results from both. Is there a better alternative? Thanks.

Both of those work well ya just hafta make sure ya dont get any tape over/past the threaded ends other wise it works loose and clogs up later on----Comp

take a look on the Permatex web site. You will see several choices. The one listed below has given good service.

Do a search on Leak-Lok thread sealants. I've been using this product for 25 yrs. + on threaded joints on gasoline and other fuels in the automotive field w/great results. I use the Leak-lok blue. WJ

This stuff is the best. ...It's used by gas companies, among others. .....We just tried it on a friends model A fuel tank. ...Nothing else would seal the fuel outlet but Leak lock blue.....It's made by Highside Chemicals,Inc.......................Tom
