Has anybody found how to keep this stuff longer than 12 hours or so?

Ed,

The 25/30 lb. block , will last the longest .... ( but is hardest to use )
The smaller pellets are great but only last 8 -12 hours ... Must be kept
in a sealed cooler, with no leaks ? In shipping packages around the world, we used a block covered over by pellets.... this would last 3-5 days.... Hope this helps.....

Dave, I will take a block as long as it is covering some lobster, lol.

Hey Mark,

Do you want the Lobsters Live or Dead , you know everything must be kept from touching the dry-ice ... It will burn anything it comes in contact with , so layers of papers must be rapped around the Dry-Ice when shipping food products...

The less air space you have in the cooler, the better off you are too. Packing the cooler with newspaper to fill the empty space will help and keep the cooler sealed at tightly as possible, might even want to saran wrap the lid shut.

we can get about 30 hours out of 50 lbs packed in brown bags and newspaper stored in a cooler,,when a coach looses a axle bearing and destroys the axle tube, we use dry ice to shrink the new tube and install ,,they need to be on ice for 24hrs and theres always plenty left over gmonde

I was doing some work for a bus company in Boston......Prevost......A bus burned up a freshly installed rear axle bearing probably due to the mechanic assembling it dry.......It was towed back into the shop where a mechanic or two spent the better part of a day trying to remove the damaged stub......A lot of tricks failed and I got an education on work I don't want to do!

I was working repairing seats.......

We use Liquid Nitrogen to shink bushings to fit them into Platens & links of injection molding machines.
