Wheel size on 65 chevyII?

I have a friend @ work with a 65 ChevyII "show car" & they would like to know what size tire & wheel would fit? It has 14" Drag Stars on it now & they would like to put either 16 or 17" wheels on it....anyone know?

Those have teeny tiny wheel wells.
