Re: Stocker 4 speeds
Jerico, DR 4 or DR 4.4. Long shifter. Start out with a McLeod Soft Lock. It works, it is rock solid, and racers who will step up to help you run it. Up in your area, you need to talk to Steve Ficacci and Ralph Popora.

Re: Stocker 4 speeds
Say .for example . What would it cost to convert a 66 nova 283 from a p/g to a stick, New stuff and used stuff prices ? I have been thinking about this for the past 2 seasons. I am sure i have spent almost as much in auto combos as it would have to change .This may put some fun back into my racing. PS i already have a clutch pedal in the car.

Finespline, There's a smokin' deal from Mike Iaccono in the for sale section on a Jerico with pistol grip shifter for $2K. Better jump on it! And there's no sense in having a 4-speed in Stock or SS without a good clutch. There are HUGE differences between them, not only in ET but in the "fun factor". PM me if you need more info. The best thing I ever did in racing was going to a 4-speed. It is so much more fun that I would never consider going back to an auto. |

Good clutch and a good pilot bearing is important. Skimp here and feel the pain. The Jerico is under 70 lbs. I have heard good things about the G101, but I have not used one. The Gforce in the 5 speed case is a nice trans. Very heavy. A lot of used Jericos are out there. They have been around awhile, so if you buy used,do your homework. P.S. Tony Hernandez had an Advance Clutch for sale in the classified. Jim |
