Pittsburgh Raceway Park Racers-US Route 22
 

Did any racers at Pittsburgh Raceway Park run into the State Police/DOT sting on 22 just West of the track over the July 4th weekend?

Heard there was a checkpoint complete with portable scales. Anyone have any issues with it?

I was ticketed for overweight back in may at the ihra proam. Going from I-70 to 22 on route 66. paid 372.00 fine. couldnt return to fight it. I had a chevy duallie pulling an open trailer with a 66 stocker nova. no way was I even close to being overweight. They said they were going to start getting racers. I called them to find out what all the extra charges were for and they just said harrisburg sends the ticket . the actual overweight fine was only 75.00 I still cant get anyone to tell me the extra cost.

"They said they were going to start getting racers". Now that is a welcome thing to hear.
Where I come from, that would be called "profiling".
sorry to hear about your ticket. Did they have portable scales that day too?
