'nuther legality question...
 
here's the plan, 67 ramblers have 9" drum brakes,can i upgrade to 81 concord disc?
don't want to go aftermarket....

You can also use the much lighter, but harder to find Spirit 4 cyl brakes which are about 8-10 #'s a side lighter than the 6 cyl units. .................Tom

awww, as thin as these rotors are,they may be lighter yet;)

out here in colorado, amc must not have been too popular, they're pretty scarce..to the point of taking what you get...

Im thinking the problem was they werent too popular anywhere hence the issues...

I had a 64 rambler with a TORQUE Tube ! I mean really......

Droozie,now you're skating on thin ice.It's not nice to dis us AMC'ers.
Tom S. I'll check around for a set of the 4 cyl calipers.A guy in Texas has the rotors.They might be a bit pricey though.
My car has them as it originally came with the puny Audi/VW 4 cylinder.

don't get too carried away as i'm still gonna use the bigger brakes and btw,drooze, 64-up americans had open drivelines....

Those torque tubes were great . I had a lot of customers with early 60's Ramblers back in the 70's who were farmers,and the torque tubes kept the calcium and fertilizer from getting into the U-joints!!!!..............Of course if they hit a furrow the wrong way the trunion would bust off the front end !!!......................Tom
