What Mickey Thompson tire compound would you suggest for my bracket car?

I have a bracket car that I'm looking to buy some slicks for. I would like to know what MT compound I should select for my car. I want tires that will last but I also want my car to hook em hard. Of course, consistency and quick reaction is a must for running Super Pro and occasional index racing. Car specs are below.

72 Plymouth Duster
650 hp
Ladder Bar suspension w/coil overs
Automatic TF Transmission with trans brake
Car weighs 3178 with driver.
Looking for a 32x15 or 32x14
Tire will mount on a 15in wheel

Are you stuck on Mickeys? I've had good luck and several racers I hang around with using Phoenix brand. I'm using a 10.5 x 29.5 x 15 and a buddy is using the 14x 32s. They hook great and seem to last longer than the others. They don't need a huge John Force burnout to make them work either. My 2 cents,,,,,,Danny Durham

I know you said M/T but the C06 Hoosiers are the best I've found.

Mickey Thompson M5 compound is a Medium/Hard Compound works awesome with medium/heavy cars. Hope this helps.

Just shopping around right now. From our experience, Mickey's and Hoosiers have been the best but I just wanted to get some feedback on different tire compounds since its been a while since our last purchase. Haven't had Mickey's in a while so just seeing whats out there. I actually talked with someone from Mickey today, they suggested an L8 compound tire(#3074s). Still just shopping around though to find the best tire and the best deal.

After all, us racers need every discount we can get.

My experience with L8's is that they are very soft and wear out quickly. Just my 2 cents..

Our CO7's gave us our record best ET and mph.

the C06 will not wear as good. they are the next step softer...BUT will hook on the "not so good" tracks ;)
