setting float level.
my car sets at a good rake [not stink bug] but at a good angle.
i question setting the holley float bowls with the car as it sets or setting them with the front of the car raised to level. in my way of thinking [working with the front only] with the car in normal stance-the fuel will be high in the front end of the bowl and low in the rear. then when launching the fuel will go low in the front and the float will add additional fuel. possibly leading to fuel going out the vent pipe. is this something to worry about or am i reading more into this than i should? thoughts? thanks rod |
Re: setting float level.
Be sure to use vent whistles in the front. It will help with slosh. If it is a square bowl Holley (1850 style) turn the whistle upside down, It will be tough to get the bowl gasket to fit but it will work ,very well.
