Same problem NHRA has had for decades, they're trying to be everything to everyone, instead of sticking to what they should be doing. You end up with a train wreck that no one enjoys.

Face it, they need as much cash as they can muster to pay the alcohol cars.

Rumor has it that the retired NHRA staff will be racing thier rascals to the 60 ft clocks! Of course it could be worse. Couldnt it??

I believe there is a time and place for the sleds,along with the legends. Why don't they run year round and then us guys can stud our tires and run with the sleds? Don't misinterpet me,I like the shear speed of sleds too,just not at divisional races. It takes long enough to run some of those shows,especially when they have quick bursts of showers to slow things down even more. Just more additions to the ever increasing circus.

I hope you realize a lot of ideas are a joke. :D And so are a lot of people who end up in management positions. :eek:

That's the problem, we don't really have drag races anymore, we have a circus that offers something of a drag race as a sideshow.

It's not about the cars, the people, and the racing anymore. It's about the "show" and the "spectacle".

It reminds me of the two wheel drive "trucks" and monster trucks that came into truck and tractor pulling. The whole thing has become a joke that is slowly dying off, but it damned near killed real truck and tractor pulling in the process.
