Slant-6 solid roller lifter cams?

I'm trying to put together a turbocharged, high-boost (30+ psi) MoPar slant 6 as an experiment, in a 1964 Valiant , and was wondering if a solid roller-lifter cam and valve train is available. I am not looking to turn much over 6K with this engine; maybe 6.5K, max... but I want the kind of aggressive profile that only a roller can provide, AND to avoid ZDDP-related issues.

Any advice would be appreciated; I'm new at slant 6's....

Well....if there is something out there I dont know.

What I do know is we had LSM out of Michigan do us a custom cam, (custom as in they made the core billet too for our application) Some places REALLY still make custom cams, (as opposed to saying they do and really just grinding on someone elses core) When noone had gundrilled billets, or ANY cores for the 6.1 hemis, I was reffered to them I was told how awful the price was because of "RUSH" , Custom billet , etc.

Not true $700 in a 5 day turnaround on a custom core......seemed reasonable to me, I mean not a SB econo cam price but not outrageous either for a fast turnaround on something that because of the profile he couldnt use one of his already done cores for (that they make as well)

Call Steve Sr. Up there and see what he can do for you.....

If you want to talk to someone who has already done this pm me your number and Ill pass it on to him, Im going to see him tommorow. He can send you goodie pics of the car in progress he changing to a monster fan.....its really kinda silly big.

Cheers

Well, it turns out that for at least two good reasons, nobody runs rollers in slant 6's:

1. They don't turn the 225's any rpm (6 grand, mostly) and they don't need high valve spring pressures for that, and you don't need rollers with reasonable valve spring pressures.

2. The valvetrain is light enough to warrant the use of weak valve springs (given the rpm) so nobody wipes cams....

3. And, because of that, nobody makes blanks for roller cams for these engines.

Case Closed!!!
