Remembering Doug McRobie
 

I realized today that it was 1 year ago today that we lost Doug McRobie from an accident at the Jegs Sportsnationals.

I know that Doug's wife Irene did watch this site from time to time ( I don't know if she still does), but if you do, I just wanted to say "God bless you" to Irene and Wyatt, and I hope all is going well for you both and the entire McRobie family.

Was there ever an end result to the investigation? What happened? I was there and still do not understand, If it was a mechanical malfunction I would like to know so we all could monitor that on our race cars.

hope the family is doin ok ,,, thought about this the other day... Doug may be gone but he will live on in all of our hearts and minds .....

I was remembering Doug this week too, found a photo of his car in my photo file. He is surely missed.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say how wonderful your support has been for Doug, Irene, Wyatt and the whole family. I met Doug when I was 16 and I looked up to him like my big brother. I was blessed to go to many races with him and the McRobie family in his early(Nova) days and a few with his roadster. It was always a great time. Thanks again for all of the nice comments, they certainly helped me through the past year.
Racers, you truly are a family and it shows.
