Spark Plugs

I have a 69 chevy 255/290HP engine in SS. I just recently took the car off jack stands after 8 years and would like to know what spark plugs are good to run now. Thanks for any advice.

In all honesty, it really depends on what you want to spend. You can get really good plugs for about $5.00 each, or you can spend up to $15.00 a piece. I have used the Accel 137's with very good luck, they are available in lower heat ranges also. The AR73's also work. I would consider both of these an "economy" plug, they are between $4 and 5 each. Pick one and try it, you may have to adjust the heat range slightly, but you'll be in the ball park from the start. Then you can try the various other "faster" plugs out there.

Good Luck!

another question for you all.should a person use a resister or non resiter plugs with an msd ignition sysytem? Also does it mess with your memory tach's if you run the non resister plus?
