ATI Ultra Case
 

On the back page of this weeks dragster there is an ATI advertisement that states " Steve Koppien claims all four ATI products for winning Stock" This include ATI ultra case. Do they make a Ultra Turbo case for the 400, 350 or 200? I was only aware of the Powerglide Ultra case.

I am not aware of ATI (or anyone else) making a TH 400 or TH 350 case. Also, we inquired about using an aftermarket automatic case in Stock, and we were told they were not accepted, period.

As a side note, in Stock, you could claim an ATI converter, an ATI valve body, an ATI SuperDamper, and an ATI transmission, that would be four ATI products legal in Stock.

We asked last year about aftermarket cases in Stock, and were told they were not accepted. That came from Gracia and Bachelder. Others in tech disagreed, on the grounds that aftermarket manual transmissions were legal, but they were overruled. The reason for our inquiry was that there were people looking at making an aftermarket case that could be used without a trans shield or a flex plate shield. Those two pieces make life miserable for us, it's near impossible to get them in the required stock tunnel and floor pan.

I noticed that you can buy an aftermarket bell housing for a Turbo-350, are they legal in stock?
