Dedenbear L2 Unit

I need some help with using the delay feature of this L2 unit to it's full advantage. This is the first time I've used electronics and so far I've focused on using the Throttle Stop A feature only. But I'm having a difficult time getting my head around who to use the delay feature to help my reaction time. Does anyone have the time to give me an explanation of how they use this feature?
Thanks in advance....

Bill

Sure, we use the lightning. What do you want to know?

First you run without any delay. Then if you find you're red lighting, just add some time in the delay and it'll back you off. In our case, we've typically got .020 in the box, since the driver is pretty consistently .010-.015 red without any delay. If it's a big race, and adrenaline is an issue, we'll bump it to .030.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

Well that gives me some baseline to get started with. I went to Test and Tune last week and I kept having a reaction time of .345 or .440 etc. I couldn't figure out what was going on, until I checked my L2 unit and found that delay had gotten set to .300. And I thought it was just me getting old:))) So now I'll take your advice and I'll pay more attention to all the features instead of just the Throttle Stop.

Thanks for the help...

Bill
