Valve job

I just purchased a pair of Victor Jr heads for a sbc. What would a 30 degree cut on the valves do for flow ? Alot of the reading I have been doing suggests this modification. Is it worth it ? I read it in the Reher-Morrison engine book. Thanks for any input.
