68 A-body HELP!
hey guys I need help it blowes the tires off i take timing out to get the car to hook its a dog thinking i,m killing the motor to compinsate for a sup. thats not working its a factory type sup. rear sup. is Wolfe racecraft, all adj. double antiroll bar, strange double adj. shock, factory springs all in factory mounting points 68 chevelle 3550 with driver, ub machine front control arms, strange single front shock, moroso trick spring, car 48. percent to the rear,slicks m/h 26x8.5 any HELP.....thanks.

I was think the same thing, all good until the tires. If you got it work ever, you were doing pretty good. The tuning window must be pretty small.

I take it your running the 8.5 wide class? If so you running it on just the motor? Are you using a trans brake? If the answer is yes to these don't spary it till it get atleast 60' out & try a lower starting line RPM

You can do all you want to the back end, but if the front dont work, you wont hook. My pic is on 30x9x15 slicks. You need some good springs and shocks up front. www.santhuffshocks.com and KONI street adjustables will get er done.....for a while ;)

thank's, I run the 8.5 class with trans brake at 3000, going to try 3600 with timing ramping a little slower, I agree the santhuffs WORK is there a big diference between moroso trick springs and the Moog, i,ve read a few thread,s and a lot guy's are using the moog, that 72 is looking good, thank's again Jeff
