Ford NHRA Town Hall

http://classracer.com/FRPP.jpg%3Cfont%20face=Arial%3EClass Racer.com welcomes Ford Racing as one of our main sponsors. Ford Racing is dedicated to the sportsman racer and chose Class Racer.com to help promote its NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing program.

I have said in early threads that Ford Racing is serous about the sportsman racer, and l like many look forward to their involvement in NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing

Below is the schedule for the Ford NHRA Town Hall.

I encourage not only Ford racers, but all sportsman racers to attend the Ford NHRA Town Hall. The one that I attended at the Gatornationals in Gainesville Florida was very informative and showed me that Ford Racing is serous about their NHRA drag racing program. I know some of you might think this is just a plug for Ford Racing, but I assure you if you go to one of these Town Halls, you will have a different opinion about Ford Racing’s involvement in NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing.
I attached a picture below of John Force and Jim Conte sr at the Ford NHRA Town Hall in Gainesville. John may seem like a guy that most of us can not relate to, but he is quite humble. In fact he was asking us in kind of a joking way to teach him how to drive one the new CJ stick cars. He said when he raced one, he got his butt kicked and does not want that to happen again.

All in all, no matter what your opinions are on the big three, its great to see car manufactures back into sportsman racing, hopefully the others will follow soon.

If you attend one of these Ford NHRA Town Halls, Please give us some feed back. Ford racing would love to here from the sportsman racer or fans, you can post your feed back in this thread.

I also attended the meeting in Gainesville, and it was "first class". For any manufacturer, and pro drivers to take the time out of their schedule, and invite the sportsman racers under their tents was awesome. The Tasca and Force family talked about the program, and then Bob goes on to win the race.

It does not matter what car manufacturer's banner you run under, you have to admit this is quite a program especially in these trying times. We have to give credit where credit is due.

The new Mustangs are awesome, street or strip versions. I have to admit, I was never a big fan, but I am one now.

For the racers out there - you should attend one of these meetings - they supplied drinks, and snacks, even gave refreshments to the non - Ford racers.. LOL

Re: Ford NHRA Town Hall

Thanks Ken & Sal...and especially Ford,

I wish they would've had these at the recently run Jegs Sportsnational events in La., and Ca. (especially in Cali., because I could've checked it out). Maybe next year???

I hope that with the Chapter 11 fate of Chrysler that they will re-emerge just like Frontier Airlines did from their old operation, to the new one that has Denver smiling...plus all of the places that they fly to too!!!

As for GM, I hope they study what made Frontier come back to be a successful airline again, and transfer that to their auto business (as I said in another post, to start they should bring back the manufacturing jobs that they exported to non-American countries...those countries can build GM products for their markets, let us build our own products for us---like we used to as recently as the early 80's)...Ford, both of them need to learn a thing or too from you as well, since obviously you guys are going on w/o govt. money...I just wish you would've put a V6 engine in either the Ford Escort, or the Ford Tempo from the 80's? I just might've tried that combo??? The '91 version was too new for my back pocket when I bought my Z24, is my reason why...

Hello Sportsman racers!

I hope to see you out at our event this week in Joliet. We will be at the Tasca hospitality tent Thursday at 7pm. Drinks and snacks will be served.

Topics for discussion:

2010 Cobra Jet - Content, delivery date, and feedback

2010 Mustang Body-In-White (BIW) program - Content, delivery date, and feedback.

Pro-Stock - Q&A. Larry Morgan's announcement that he will campaign a Ford has people wondering what's going on. We're ready to show you some pics and open up to questions.

New Ford vehicles - Racing is what we're all there for but we've got some great new Ford's coming for when you need to go more than 1/4 mile at a time.

I encourage all sportsman racers to come out and say hello. Even if you're not running a Ford currently we appreciate your feedback, and who knows a Ford may be in your future!

See you at the track!

-Jesse

Dennis,

Look for Jesse Kershaw from Ford Racing, he should be there most of the weekend. He is great to deal with and is very receptive to manufactures as well as racers and fans.

The Ford Town Hall for the sportsman racers is the real deal.
Refreshments and snacks were served.
John Force and Bob Tasca along with Jesse spoke about the programs, future developments, and Ford's committment to NHRA drag racing.
All questions were answered and contact information was freely given out.

I wholeheartedly suggest that you all take the opportunity to attend these meetings at any NHRA national events you race at.

A big thank you to Jessie, Brian Wolfe, and FoMoCo for a invitation along with the hospitality.
Class act!

Re: Ford NHRA Town Hall

Thanks to all the Ford Racers who have come out to these Town Halls. It's been great meeting all of you and walking the pits checking out your race cars.

The originally scheduled event for Norwalk tonight will not take place. Due to the excellent turnout in Joliet and the large crossover of racers we elected to hold off on Norwalk and concentrate on a very strong Indy presence.

Expect Indy to have some exciting news and first looks, as well as a dinner like last year. Full details to follow!

In the meantime, if you haven't looked already check out one of Ford's newer websites at www.fordstory.com . It updates Ford enthusiasts with the latest events regarding new vehicles, technology, and programs like the "cash for clunkers".

Thanks again for campaigning a Ford! We appreciate your support on the racetrack as well as in your home towns.
