Window Glass Scratches
I know this has nothing to do with a Tech question but, does anyone out there know
how to get real fine scratches out of car glass windows ?????? Thx Pistol Pete |
Re: Window Glass Scratches
Yep, I'd say eastwood too. But, be aware if it's side windows, tempered glass is a little harder to polish out than the windshield. It'll work, just not as well as the kit does on front glass. Just my .02

Re: Window Glass Scratches
Pete,
If the scrathes are REAL fine, I have had success with a simple application of Rain-x or two. Rain-x carries a polymer that allows it to fill the pores in glass (that's how it does what it does), and that capability has helped to eliminate some very fine scrathes as well. If the scratches are stronger than that, the Eastwood kit will sometimes work, or, if you don't want to attempt it yourself, check with the local street rod guys you know, there always seems to be a "car guy" glass man around that can do wonders as well. Unk |
Re: Window Glass Scratches
Thank you guys for your help.
I do have a local glass guy looking into my possibilites. Eastwood, i did hear another guy mention that to me. I guess the Rain-X i can try on the light scrathes too. Thanks again Pistol Pete |
