JEGS SportsNationals CIC Race
No Problem Raceway will again host a Stock & Super Stock CIC race at the JEGS Cajun SportsNationals in March. The Saturday event will be open to all class winners. This will be run on the same format as last year. For round 1, each driver will write his/her class index on the driver’s side window. Dial-ins will be adjusted for remaining rounds by the elapsed time faster than one second under the driver’s index.
This is a “no breakout” race format; random pairings; stock vs. stock and super stock vs. super stock until laddered at 16 or fewer cars. Once laddered, all remaining competitors will compete for the title. Minimum class weight will be enforced, and all cars will be checked at the scales. Since this is an “exhibition” event, there will be no AHFS factoring for any of these runs. The winner and runner-up will have to pass a “tech light” inspection. No Problem Raceway will pay $1,000.00 to the CIC race winner, and $500.00 to the runner-up. Anyone interested in “adding to the pot” can contact me at patjoffrion@hotmail.com or on my cell phone at (985) 665-7145. Product manufactures are also encouraged to offer product or product certificates for our winners. We will also again host our “King of the Bayou” race on Saturday for our contestants in Super Street, Super Gas, and Super Comp. To date, we have raised $5,000.00 to be distributed to the category winners and runners-up. Top Sportsmen and Top Dragster competitors will also have a shootout on Saturday. Sponsors and purses will be announced soon. Before we start 1st round of eliminations on Sunday, we will have awarded over $10,000.00 in cash to 14 racers. There is no extra fee charged for competing in these events. Registration for the SportsNationals can be done online with NHRA, or you can download the entry form on our website at: http://www.noproblemraceway.com/2009...PPLICATION.pdf Early registration saves $25.00 off the gate fee. WARNING: Thanks to the Raceland Louisiana gang with Ross & Rudy Laris, NPR will again offer one-ton (2,000 lbs.) of hot boiled crawfish free for our racers and crewmembers on Friday night. Some attending may want to start early preparing for a binge of crawdads and beer… |
