Re: Plug wires
Hello. Our FireCore50 Performance Ignition Wires are being used on some of the quickest cars in the world. Don Schumacher cars are using them. Cory Mac's, Ron Capps, Beckmans.all with great results. They are all locked in the Top Ten Playoff for the season. Tim Wilkerson won twice in a row using them. We are used on some of the quickest ADRL cars. Here are some pics.

Pro Stock Bike, Pro Mod Bike, Pro Extreme, Top Dragster, T/S. Our customer, Alex Denysenko, just clinched his IHRA Div 5 Super Stock Division Championship. They are lasting longer than anything our customers have previously used. Give us a call or check out our website.. www.customwiresets.com |

Re: Plug wires
For sportsman combinations, I like the MDS 8.5 wires.
My preference is buying the wire sets that only have the spark plug ends attached. This allows a tidy custom fit by crimping the distributor end to the exact length for my needs. In addition, I have used the Moroso equivalent wire with the same good results. And this personal comment, I think the absolute most important issue with spark plug wires is careful attention to detail, careful crimping, careful routing. Every effort must be made to keep them away from exhaust contact. In addition, do not overlook the coil wire and any distributor trigger wires. The secondary coil wire should as short as practical. And the "trigger wires" should be routed as far away as possible from the secondary wiring. |
Re: Plug wires
I do not know about a perf advantage from one manufacturer to another but the MSD boots are the best I have seen.I have a turbo street car and the wires come off without sticking every time.

Thats not the case with a lot of other full race cars. Whether it be Top Fuel, Baha, 4x4, or anything that can tire shake terminals or boots off. The T/F teams like our magneto boots better than the other guys. They are tougher and have a higher di-electric capability than what they were using. All Mag44's use a locking top on top of the Mag as well. They do like the boots.. To each his own. I know we haven't been out on the public market very long, but every single T/F , Pro Mod, T/S, APBA, Pro Stock bike that has tried them, are running them, every weekend, And giving up the contingency checks.. www.customwiresets.com |
Re: Plug wires
We are going on the dyno in Nov for 2 days with the superstocker,I would be willing to try a set back to back with our MSD.s and send copies of dyno sheets. If they show hp I would take 2 sets and post results on this board. Thanks in advance.
