Pontiac Rear End
 

Took a Pontiac Rear End out of an old 55 Chevy Drag car that had Sommers Brothers axles and 5.8X ratio. Does anyone know if anyone still offers parts or services for this old dinosaur?

I have seen an add in the National Dragster a while back that someone was selling new gears for these. I think they are the same as Olds.

Mark Williams has a good selection of parts. Install kits spools and gears. ...also has billet caps. 4.10,4.56 &4.88 gears. I've done a couple lately for a friend with a nostalga gasser, typical M-W stuff, all good. Be careful if you want to change axles,some of the older Summers splines have a different pitch than Strange or M-W. .......Tom
