Generator Help.....

I have a Honda Black Max generator that I mounted in the bed of my truck. I also have an additional fuel tank mounted that I want to feed the gen off of. Is there a low pressure fuel pump I can use to feed the small carb.

Anybody doing this or have a better idea?

Aren't portable generators all gravity fed?

Ed is correct...most small portables have the fuel tank above the carb. and use gravity to feed the carb. Facet makes low pressure pumps that are 12 volt and that is the types that are used on Onan's and others that pull fuel from another tank. Those pumps are readily available at many auto parts stores and other suppliers. Pressure is about 2-4 lbs. You have to have it hooked to the battery and only running when the generator is running and you will need some sort of battery charging to keep the battery from going down. RV type units like an Onan have this all included in the design......

Re: Generator Help.....

I have an intank fuel pump (4-6 lbs) mounted inside the "L" tank to supply my stock tank. The generator's carb is mostly above the fuel level, so, I need some sort of low pressure pump to supply it with flooding it out. I know this may not be the ideal situation, but, I need to make it work for now.

Thanks for any input.....

Wade
