IHRA Crate Motor Question

I was looking at a IHRA Crate Motor Stock car the other day and had a question. It's a GM car with a Ford 9" - is this legal for IHRA Crate Motor Stock?

Thanks,

Tim

Re: IHRA Crate Motor Question

As far as I know the rear end still has to have a corporate relationship with the body.

It does have to be a corporate rear end. When I started in 1999, they did allow a different rear. But shortly thereafter, they recinded that option, as well as a few others, which forced a few people to convert before being able to compete again.

Are you sure it wasn't and early Pontiac or Oldsmobile rear ? They look like 9" Fords .

Myron is correct, gt stock must maintain corporate housing

Thanks guys! I remembered something about one being allowed at one time, but I couldn't remember what happened.

Thanks!
