IHRA Crate Motor Question
I was looking at a IHRA Crate Motor Stock car the other day and had a question. It's a GM car with a Ford 9" - is this legal for IHRA Crate Motor Stock?
Thanks, Tim |
Re: IHRA Crate Motor Question
As far as I know the rear end still has to have a corporate relationship with the body.

Re: IHRA Crate Motor Question
It does have to be a corporate rear end. When I started in 1999, they did allow a different rear. But shortly thereafter, they recinded that option, as well as a few others, which forced a few people to convert before being able to compete again.

Re: IHRA Crate Motor Question
Are you sure it wasn't and early Pontiac or Oldsmobile rear ? They look like 9" Fords .

Re: IHRA Crate Motor Question
that's what I was going to say...Aaron Allison's Vega has an old Olds rear end in it.
