TBM Brakes

Has anyone used TBM brakes in a Stock class car

For the same price or less on some applications. You can get Strange or another proven brand. Plus they don't make a dual caliper setup for the rear. They claim with their calipers you don't need it.

There are some Stockers using TBM brakes.

I consider them the best engineered brake system for racing.
The owner was the Chief Engineer at AirHeart/Hurst brakes and developed brakes for F1, NASCAR and aerospace applications.
There are many cars in the 10.5 tire classes that run them and don't even have to pull the parachute to stop the car.

I have only installed 1 set on a x275 car. very good quality, and very low drag.

Re: TBM Brakes

All of the Brake Man products are designed to resolve common issues. His unique shaped rotors prevent warping which we all know as a big problem. The seals are low friction to release more quickly and the calipers finned for the obvious dissipation of heat. I even sell Strange components and will give them props for making great products but TBM has put a lot of effort into innovations where the larger mfgs just can't justify it (2pc rotors being the exception). I think he has some A-B numbers that show his stuff to be quicker to 60' and even some reaction time references as well.

I have Mark Williams brakes on both my cars and neither has ever warped a rotor.

All they have for the front of a 4th gen F body is the "hat style". Where the rotor slips over the wheel studs If you want the best. You want a setup that eliminates that heavy wheel bearing hub.
