Personal indexes for s/superstock
Since comp has this rule in place why doesn't NHRA make the same for super stock and stock, this would help a lot of the low budget teams compete, and would also help the car count. Seems like a great idea....

Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
nhra doesnt want to help the car count. they only take 65 cars for stock&ss at most natl events. they probably would like to cut back rather than want more.

Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
If I understand PI's properly, a car in the same class still runs Heads-Up,
and we are not trying to run farther under against different classed car's, we are trying to run our dial under. I must be missing how this social handout helps the underprivileged. J.R. |
Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
With a personal index system in place, then all the IHRA cars could come in too. LOL.

Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
First thing that needs to done before adjusting HP or Index, see if the car is legal! Fuel and weight is not enough to affect others.

Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
There might be something about this issue. Fox Sports has spent time focusing on the Comp classes during their national coverage.. Old, new and rails and funky combos. Similar transition like S/SS(Dime Rockets front and center). Might be a good new and profitable direction for all.

Re: Personal indexes for s/superstock
All the Comp guys I know think its as stupid as hell. We already know trying to explain our classes is hard, wait till we would have to try and explain why 2 J/SA cars running each other was no longer a heads up. As was mentioned, just like socialism.....
