Racing Head Service heads are the most popular.

Greg,
Arent the popular RHS heads a raised runner? I've been looking at the S/WJR Fuel rules for a customer and it says "no raised runner heads" Should have ask what non raised runner head works best?? There are a lot of brands with various port sizes out there.

Adger, I was assuming that the southwest rules were the same as B/nd.

I'm not up on B/Ndragster class rules. I just looked at the rules for Southwest Jr Fuel Assoc.
http://www.angelfire.com/tx/fuelcarf...lers/main.html
I noticed there were no raised runner heads. I was thiking of the RHS raised runner 23 deg, that is actually a 21 deg, or something ..

- B/JF: 3.50 pounds per cubic inch, 1,350 pound minimum weight. Limited to OEM cast-iron Hemi, 23 degree Chevy (no raised runner) OEM or aftermarket replacement style, OEM Ford or aftermarket replacement style heads. Other makes fall under same category as above. + or - 3 degrees maximum allowance for milling of heads.

We're looking for same info, run in SWJFA,Tom Hixson @www.swjfa.com. In use you'll see everything from stock "turbo" 292 castings (us) to Ported $8000 AFR and RHS heads. Lots of good stuff, to run 4.80s ,buy the best you can afford.
We're a full second slower, but learning the car and driver in prep for next season. Welcome to the group!
