More Pure Stock Update

Got the new MT front Runners and Slicks today.
Slicks are 28 inches like before.

Wondering what the 29.5 inch would do?
Have a bit more HP.

Going to try and get the front wheel bearings treated with one of those Metal Polish and Surface treatments.

Though everyone and their brother is beating me to get a T200 trans.
Going to stay with the 4L60E for now until it is used up.
Got the PerformaBuilt Level 2 which is good for 800hp.

Will add 4.88s later and Lock Up the Converter.
See what performance that gives me.

Might sound crazy but my buddy uses off the shelf Autozone wheel bearings. He focuses on torque settings and grease type. They spin like crazy. It’s a Foxbody Mustang that he ran in NMRA Factory Stock.

Some racers have picked up a full tenth with the micro polished and chemical lubricant surface treatment.
More when a transmission and rear end bearings are done.

Also, He paid a lot of attention to his stock front brake setup and i believe he honed out the piston sleeve to allow it to slide freely in the bore.

Hmm that is a good idea.
There should be some improvement lessening Brake Drag.

Did add a new brake cable to stop the Parking Brake from dragging.

Just went over the wheel and reconditioned them.
The Washers were deformed and caused the studs to break last year.

Can’t say about the parking brake. He just paid attention to a lot of little details. He’s a pretty analytical guy.
