Not being an expert, I can only guess it was a fitment issue. The 2 1/8 inch rear pipes would really be short compared to the other six without crossing over. Pretty tight back there on these cars. Mine came with the car when I bought it.

Victor in Kingman

Victor surely someone that worked at the FPG would know. Class of 70, Kingman High School.

We made it to the 50th Cobra Jet Reunion on Thursday morning before they had all the tents set up.

My car was on display with other historic Cobra Jets

I decided to lower the rear it was way too high.

I've had a set of Calvert split mono leaf springs a long time I decided to see if they would work.

Looks a lot better now.

Today I moved cars around in the shop so I had room to jack up the Mustang and replace the old wheels and tires and finally got it out of the trailer. The wheels are Race Star 15 x 3.75 in the front and 15 x 10 in the rear with 5.5 backspace and 9 x 30 radial slicks.

I wanted to replace the original stock tank with a fuel cell. I wanted the 4 gallon fuel cell, filter and pump inside the trunk. I came up with this idea of cutting the top out and mounting the bottom of the tank in the car so from the outside it looks original. We had a new stainless tank left over from another project so Brian cut out the top and used a piece to fill in the hole for the sending unit.

Why isn't it legal?

It doesn't matter I don't think I will be racing in NHRA. I will race at NMCA or NMRA events in the future.
