The inaugural NHRA National Open Canadian Stock / Superstock Championship presented by John Scotti Classic Cars is in the books. This six race series started at Toronto Motorsports Park back in June with a double-header, two more in Napierville, PQ a couple of weeks back and finished-up on home turf at Miramichi Dragway Park last weekend. This best 5 of 6 series had cars competing from Ontario, Quebec, the eastern U.S, and of course members of our own ACSSA.
I'm proud to say that the ACSSA flag waved proud and our members took the top two spots in the championship points series. Congratulations to Brian Oakes on taking the series Championship and to Bill Sheppard in the runner-up spot. Third place went to Bob Park from Ontario.
Thank-you to all involved and to the racers who made the commitment to make the inaugural season a great success. Thanks also to John Scotti of John Scotti Classic Cars for supporting this series. Looking forward to 2020
