'07 Dodge Charger R/T

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the 345HP 5.7L combination for a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T. I have not seen any of these, but was interested in knowing if this would be a competitive combination.

If you already have the car, go for it. Yes, it is heavy (over 4000 lbs), but the Gen III hemi is very capable. The sneaky-poot combination is the '09 Challenger with the 354-300hp.

The 09 challenger you mention would it have to be a DP or would one be able to get a street challenger lite enough.Could you put a solid axle in it . There will soon be enough 09,s etc . around to give cheaper body.

I don't know squat about these newer combinations, but I don't see piston specs listed. What do you do then?

OEM replacement pistons or work with a manufacturer for a legal replacement.

This has potential to be a fun combo.....if NHRA would extend the favorable rating they gave the street Challengers to their brother Chargers, 300, and Magnums

Look no further than Dempsey Perdarvis and his storming street challenger...all you need to know, plenty of cheap 2009’s out there.

Even a flood damaged Hemi one in LA (COPARTS) ....but I’m looking for a dime rocket on the west coast.

The 09 5.7 has the Eagle heads and they are much better than the original 5.7 head on your 07.

5.7 Eagle head on the 09 challenger is a VERY good combination and has a ton of potential left in it.

Pendarvous went 10.71 with what looked like a 1.49 60 ft. Make that combination leave the line correctly, probably 10.40's in H/SA.

while I know that picking the right horse for a race is damn important and admire those who are smart enough to use what is out there I cant be too impressed with performance of cars that are rated @ about a 13% reduction from the factory rating. I say this with no ill feelings toward Dempsey or anyone else who run these combos. If rated at the factory numbers the challenger would be a E or f car and a damn fast one at that. That being said ,his cars have always been fast and your cant blame anyone for running good combos if they are out there. Rick .
