Our First Race Of The 2018 Season

Our first race is Jan. 6, 2018 at Orlando Speed World. Gates open at 9am. This will be in conjunction with the American Motorsports Customer Appreciation Race and car show. $12 gate fee for crew and $25 for car and driver. Tell them at the gate you are racing with the SSSSA. Once again you must come to the SSSSA tech tent and enter our race. Should be a lot of fun for all!

Hi Jim,

Yes we did run the race on Saturday. The turn out was small with only 12 cars first round. The weather was awesome as well as the track. I ran a personal best with the combo that I have in my car right now. I was told that Corky Bumphus was the winner and Mike Clifford the RU. Congrats to both of those guys. Hopefully we can get a better turn out at the next race in February. The ones that did not attend really missed a great race. Thanks again to the SSSSA crew for all that they do to keep the program alive.

Yes sir we sure did. As Mike said, Corky Bumpus was the winner and Mike Clifford was runner up.It was a small turnout but it was very, very fast! 7 of the 14 cars they stated to me they ran personal bests with their cars!

Our next races will be February 17 & 18, two races, the week before the NHRA poits race at Orlando Speed World. Should be great weather and a large turnout! Jim
